Hello,i have this little beauty in her indoor enclosure over winter. It has uvb/uva light a heating lamp 24hr water bowl and her diet is mostly wild herbs/flowers and abit of grocery store edible vegs.
I've noticed these sounds and i wanted another opinion on this.
Might this be a respiratory infection? (She's really active/strong and has bright eyes)

I can't play your video.

What are your four temps? Warm side, cool side, basking area and overnight low?

What equipment are you using to maintain those temps? What type of UV bulb?

Post pics of the tortoise and enclosure?

She's in this set-up for 2 months now as soon as the temps start rising again then she's going to her outside enclosure till the next winter.

Yes she's doing quite a few times during the day on a daily basis for the past 5 days or so

Enclosure looks pretty dry. Did you check the humidity level with a hygrometer?
Something could be irritating her nasal passage. Until more expert members give you other advice, for now I would up the humidity and temperature and also give her a long warm soak daily until she gets better..

Shall i remove the hay, spray the enclosure once per day with water and do those warm baths?

I hope your leopard gets better. Do you think it might have eaten a rock?

It's really hard to 'diagnose' just by looking at a video, but my first impression was that something is stuck in her throat or mouth. Also, when a tortoise has a stuffed up nose and they can't breathe through their nose, they occasionally gasp. Take a good look under a bright light at her nostrils and make sure they aren't plugged.

Can you get some other substrate besides hay/soil that won't cause dust? Maybe coco coir and add water to it and mix it until it's moist, and add cypress mulch or orchid bark on the top? If something is stuck in her nostril, giving her a warm soak may help get it out (she will put her face in the water to help clear her nostril).

Those temperatures are much too cold for a leopard. It shouldn't drop below 26-27 anywhere in the enclosure, and the whole thing should warm up to around 30 each day. Your basking temp is pretty close, and it will be perfect if the rest of the enclosure isn't so cold.

Dryness is not an issue for a large tortoise like yours, but cold certainly is. A warm soak two or tree times a week will keep the tortoise hydrated, but you've got to get the temperatures up and get rid of the red bulb.

Its all explained here:
