I have to baby leopard tortoise they are so small what can be a good substrate for them ?
I live in a hot area

Hello Alex welcome to the TFO from AZ . It was 103 temp wise here today so I don't know hot area yet ?you can use dirt from your yard as long as it don't have weed killer or bug killer on or in it . Then read what it says in the leopard sections . Have a great tort day !

I use coco choir . Packed down and kept moist . You can mix it dirt from your yard also . Just make sure your temperature and humidity is right with whatever you use.
