I know there's a lot of talk over which type of bulb to use and all that. *for the uva/uvb* So I'm asking, incandescent or florescent? Any specifics? And why?
I'm also going to install a different heat light for night time, any recommendations?
This will be for a 4'×8' that I will be building soon. Please, any help would be much appreciated!! ^.^

Incandescent bulbs will also put out heat, florescent don't.

  • Seems like there are folks who have success and good results with both types of bulbs. CHE for 24/7 heat using a thermostat and " other " bulbs to provide basking area, higher heat, and also your incabdescent/florescent UVA//UVB.

It really depends on your set up. I would recommend a CHE insread of a bulb for night heat. Put it on a thermostat and your ambient temp is completely controlled and worry free.
