Hello,
Just wondering what people thought:
I just realized that the bulb I payed for is a UVB 5.0 instead of it being 10 which seems to be the norm. Should I return it for the 10 UVB %? I have the light on top of the screen so he is about 6-10 inches from the light source.

Also, for heating my bulb currently burned out... (old) so im using an emergency 60 watt ceramic bulb that he seems to love. Is 60 watt to cold? or should I go up to 75 watt?
What’s a good basking wattage if the bulb is close to his shell but not too close to harm?

I would think if the UVB bulb is close enough it should be no problem. 10 is for a Larger/deeper enclosure where you need the extra UVB to reach to the bottom. Too much UVB is a problem in my opinion the Tort's eyes can suffer. I have seem the effects of too much UVB on my chameleon eyes.
As far as basking temp. 85-95 is nice. Use a Thermometer to find and maintain proper daytime temp.
