Hello,

Yesterday my "daylight" bulb went out after only about 2 months. I just have a uvb light in there now. Everyone says redfoots don't like bright light anyways. Should I even replace it? Also the uvb light is about 18" from the substrate. That's probably too far away huh? If i got a new 5.0 or 10.0 uvb light would either one give enough uvb at that distance?

Thanks!

I only have a CHE on a stat and a uvb strip on a timer. I think 18" is too far. Mine is set at 10" from substrate. It's a 5.0.

Yeah its from lowes. Supposed to give off uvb but probably not nearly as much as a reptisun or other more expensive bulbs.
