I understand all the factors about natural light. But I want to know wan out BULBS.
What. Kind. Are. NECESSARY. For. A. Tortoise.
How often should it be on I'd've switched? What about all the other bulbs?
UVB
UVA
Infra red

And so on

Since you're new to the forum, you probably didn't know that we have a section on lighting (I've moved your thread to the "Lighting" section). Take some time and read through the posts in the lighting section and I'm pretty sure your questions will be answered.

If you have a very young sully, read Toms great threads below in my post for raising them. The one for leopards also apply. Most of us use a MVB, (mercury vapor bulb) gives, heat, light and UVB. Then we also use a CHE (ceramic heat emitter) for added heat and for night time heat. Of course as much natural sunlight is the very best.
