Hi, I'm a newbie. This is an aerial pick of my set up so far for my little horsefield, joey. He has a combination basking/uv bulb at one end, temperature is 34. The other end is quite dark and he rarely goes up that end. He spends a lot of time in the corner by the basking spot. Should I be worried about a darker end. I was thinking about another light going there?? Would you recommend this or not? If so what kind, I was thinking a uv strip? Or just a normal lamp, what do you all think?

Sorry if pick isn't very clear.

Thanks in advance for your time.
Julia.

The problem with that type of enclosure. Bird cage type. Is that it is very hard to regulate heat and humidity.
The heat seems about right to me on the side with the light (92ish F) But how have you measured the other side? It may very well be too cold?

You can set up a CHE (Ceramic Heat Emitter) on the other end. It provides heat without light.
