this is my tortoise table and i have had the basking light at both ends and i was wondering if i should have it over the dirt or the grass? and should i have my uv light on the angle or straight down? of if there is anything else that would make it better please tell me. thanks

I don't know about the "grass or dirt" question b/c I have neither one of them in my enclosure but the to best of my knowledge a UV Light should always be straight up & down and not at an angle. Hope that helps!

Personally, I'd put it over the dirt.
Also, what kind of UV light is it?

the light is a slimlinedesert fixture with a 50 uvb T8 fluorescent bulb

Okay, that's one of the long ones, right?
I take back what I said then. Maybe position it where it's partially on the dirt side and partially on the grass side.
Also, point it straight down like Anthony said

Judy, it looks really good. The only thing I can see missing is a herd of RT's.

you should probably have your uv light going straight down.

ya im going to chang that when i took the picture the 4 torts were in there outside enclosure. while its still warm durring the day i put them out there. and bring them in at night
