Lilacs?

Hi list,
I've checked various sites, but so far haven't been able to confirm if Lilacs and wygelia (sp.?) are safe food options for torts.
If anybody has experience feeding these items - or can direct me to a site that lists them I'd be grateful.

Lilac flowers definately are...Weigelia aren't listed as poisonous, but more like a medicinal herb.

Lilac flowers are edible, but the leaves are toxic.

weigela leaves are safe.

Thank you emysemys. I like to be certain before I feed as I know one can't assume all parts of a plant are safe.
Re. location....I'm a proud Canadian.... not far from the Buffalo border actually.
