I have been seeing these little bugs in my tortoise’s enclosure. I read that they are harmless, so I didn’t do anything about them. But now they are on my tortoise’s food and I am worried that he will accidentally eat them (he is a Russian tortoise). Will he be okay if he accidentally eats the bugs? Is there anything I should do?

It’s a pretty known fact in nature - tortoises, heck reptiles in general in the wild eat bugs. Big bugs, little bugs, bugs that fly, bugs that crawl. Sooooo, your tort will be perfectly safe eating a few (maybe a few 100, 1000] bugs (fruit flies, gnats, house flys, springtails, etc). All ok.

Some bugs are harmless but I know where you are coming from. I attach a fly sticker cut in 1/2 as I do not want any poisoning on the enclose glass so that may help.
