Back when I could have dog toys, my dog Sylvester LOVED that same racoon toy and similar to the dinosaur ones where they had to pull them out.

Unfortunately one of my dogs goes "full terrier" on toys now and bites them into tiny pieces and then eats them - including the plastic squeakers...

I watch too constantly. He's usually pretty good with his toys but I won't leave anything to chance. I'm watching for fluffy stuff all the time. He knows when and where I hide the leaky ones until I can stitch them shut. I'm really more careful with the plastic toys with the squeakers. I just punch it into the toy with an awl now so he can't pull it out. I learned that one the hard way. He didn't eat a squeaky but he was chewing it and dropped it for me. Thank God 🙏

Good for you making it for a year! But really, aren't his new toys bigger than he is? At least it looks that way in the picture.

And he truly is adorable! We should arrange a play date with Ruger 😂.
He would love it . He just wants to play with and loves everyone. He greets everyone with a toy in his mouth after he makes your ears ring saying hello. Here I am! Yap yap yap!!!!! In the meantime his tail is wagging so hard his whole body is wiggly. He enjoys warming up your lap too so he's a lap dog. He does like to bite your ankles now and then though. So I call him a lovable ankle biting Yap trap 🙃 I bet Ruger would be a gentle giant with Mr Fre.😊 Isn't Ruger the chosen one of the Great Dane puppies born in your home. I think I remember all that right.

You remember perfectly. He's Great Dane/Mastiff. He just turned 1 year old on Dec 15th. I remember that Mr. Fre's birthday was not long after, but wouldn't have known the date.

As for being a gentle giant, he has the giant part down pat. He knows what gentle means, but he goes by a different scoring method than me. He thinks smashing the cat to the floor with a paw is gentle. Me and the cat...not so much, but we're working on it.

Ruger thinks he's a little pup still and he truely is. That's a great dane puppy for you. 🙃😉😁 Someday he'll know he got bigger and I bet he'll be lovely .in the end 😁 I read online that even my little brat will take a couple of years more to settle down a bit 😜 I don't know which is worse a big paw smashing you or an ankle biting lap dog with a big mouth. Mr Fre can make your ears ring.

I found a new toy today for my spoiled rotten little Mr Fre. I think I'm more addicted to new toys for him than he is. This one is a good investment of $5.00 though. It's a Chuckit stick. He loves to play with it so much that he's retrieving it. Thank God 😂 🙏 I was getting really tired of having to do all the retrieving just to play with him.😉IMG_20250223_182829749.jpg

That's not the same dog in any way, shape or form.
He thinks that too. He found out he has a curly tail and it keeps touching him. That drives him crazy. He thinks it's a bug or something. I finally had to put some clothes on him. 😉 He's finally settled down though and it's growing fast so he'll be back to his little dust mop self.😊
