Hello all,

I was wondering whether a Bell's hingeback could possibly gestate for 14 years? Mine just laid some pretty normal-looking eggs. Wondering if I should even try incubating them.

Thanks so much,

If the female has ever previously been with a male, it couldn't hurt to incubate them. There's a first time for everything.

Hi, and welcome to the Forum!

A female tortoise can hold sperm for 5 or 6 years. If it's been 14 years since your tortoise was with a male, then there's not a prayer of the eggs being fertile.
