I've seen water turtles do this, but never tortoises. Look at the orange baby with his back to us:

That is really neat, especially on a tort vs a turtle.

I see my redfoots basking for a lengthy period in the shaft of direct sunlight they get between 11am and 1 pm in their outdoor enclosure.

Maybe he ate so much his plastron is distended and his little legs can't reach the floor. Yvonne's Cafe is open for business.

I have similar problems when I eat too much I have trouble tying my shoes.
