I’m in Maine and would like to know where other people in Maine get their soil they use for their indoor enclosure plants. I had someone suggest Timberline but I can’t find it anywhere. What soil do you use for your enclosure plants? I plan to put an aloe inside a terra cotta and set it in the enclosure for Leonardo to munch on

Do you have a garden center or Lowes or Home Depot near by. You don’t need anything special for aloe.

I do have both of those stores nearby. What is safe to use for the aloe for inside the enclosure?

Since you are looking to replant aloe, take a look for any potting soil specialized for cactus and succulents. You could just use sand.

Is this a new plant from a garden center or an old mature one??

It’s a small 4-5” plant from Amazon. Think maybe I can use the soil in my backyard? It’s not treated.

It sounds fine to me. Or just go to the Maine woods and dig up a pail of rich topsoil to bring home (assuming you olive close to some woods).
