Making a russian tortoise enclosure

Hi! My russian tortoise's enclosure is not very good, so I am going to make/get a new one! I am planning on using a cement mixing tub instead of getting a whole tortoise table, but I had a question on the lighting. If I clip the basking light on one side, will it still heat the whole enclosure? Also if I clip the UVB lamp on the other side will it still send the rays throughout the whole enclosure or do I need 2 UVB lamps??

That would depend on the entire size of the tub you are going to use...I mean you don't want to light up the entire thing like a football stadium (lol) without an area for the tort to retreat to for sense of hiding and cooling off and getting out of uv rays all together...remember, torts do not remain outside in the uv rays all of the day...so I would keep in mind that they need a cool dry hide area as well....
