Thank you Yvonne and Josh!

The vet didn't really address the sex, and I didn't ask because I was so worried about everything else and because I had read on here that you couldn't tell when they are that young.

BUT then in this thread people started talking anal scutes and I thought I might be able to tell Percy's sex.

Thank yall for responding and being so helpful!

FGCinHB Congratulations on your male.

Janiedough, hopefully you will be able to sex Percy's sex soon. But we know you won't love him/her any less no matter what.

Thanks, even though his anal scutes look like a female's I'm pretty sure he is a male, what do you think :D:D:D:D

Ps. as of late this happens every time we give him a piece fruit, in this shot my wife just tossed him a strawberry

Hiya Janie,

I have a question for you; I noticed that in the second pic you posted, your tortie is on what appears to be pine bedding; Do you have that as a substrate? From my understanding, {altho I could very well be wrong} the oils in pine bedding are not healthy for a tort...

Does anyone else have info on pine shavings as a substrate?

Enjoy the day ~
