Manouria updates

It's been quiet on the Manouria sub forum lately. How are everyone's mountain tortoises doing?

I just purchased another hopeful 1.1 pair of 2015 mee's from Jay Fruer. The tentative shipping date is the week of the 15th.

My newest pair is doing very well and get along perfectly.

My 1.2 Mep have gone south to San Diego to live with my tortoise partner, Will. That leaves me with 1.2 Mee. They are doing well. The male is just coming into breeding condition, so I'm expecting some nesting activity in the spring. I also kept 1 hatchling Mep from this year's clutch. She's doing nicely too. I'm still trying to get her habitat set up properly. I'll take pictures later in the day for this thread.

My m.e.p. kids are doing great and growing like crazy!! I am very proud of Finn and his 2nd place win in the calendar contest!!

My 1.0 mee Ponce is now 3 and a half years old. Seems to be doing well living outdoors here in S. Fl for the last year and a half. Photo is of him in his outdoor habitat with a gallon milk jug for size comparison. Glad to know others are doing so well!

All four of my mee's are doing amazing. The 18 month old is 5 inches and over 515 grams, gaining over 100 grams per month now. All four coexist peacefully in the same enclosure regardless of size differences. The largest is very laid back and the smallest is quite the personality so it works out well. Soon they will be going outdoors in a much larger enclosure.

I just took weights and measurements today on all four of my emys. The two year old is 1175 grams and 17 cm. The yearling is 490 grams and 13 cm. The eight month olds are 210 grams and 11 cm each. They all doubled in weight in the last 4 months. I'm very happy with my big brown beasts!

Another update. These guys are getting HUGE! The largest female is 10 in. at barely 3 years old. The largest male is 2 years old, and the two smaller ones are a few months younger.

My male just turned 3 and in 8.5 inches long (only had a scale that went up to 5 lbs, and he was over).
