We used plastic roofing panels on our outside stuff and green house. Lowe's has them.

I was just coming here to see what I could use to cover a greenhouse for my tortoises... glad you posted. I am scare to use the actual greenhouse plastic because I think it will block the UV light that my tortoises need.. any insight would be much appreciated.

Anything you use will block the UVB that your tortoises need. Only unfiltered sunshine and UVB lights provide UVB.

That is exactly what I did for my indoor enclosure. It's not pretty, but very effective.

Yeah looks a right mess but there we go how long would you say it's important to keep it covered with humidity up to 80 year two three or months?

Is your substrate pretty damp? Pour a pitch of water and stir it all up. Now you can just duct tape a plastic flap and you may be good to go. I can't remember if you sealed the bottom? You could use a shower curtain liner.

Yeah the substrate is damp I lined the bottom with some old shower curtain it's all sealed with a taped flap holding 75-80% now !

The bottom on the table had a layer ontop on the wood anyway and was holding very well

As long as they are growing, high humidity is beneficial. My yearling leopards I intend to keep in enclosed table until 8 or 9 inches. After that a humid night box seems to suffice.

As everyone says, it looks effective if not aesthetically pleasing.
Good work
