Mating season

Is it mating season for Russian Tortoises? I only have one male tortoise and he is starting to hump or mate with his rock in his enclosure. I assume this is a normal activity even without a female around.

Not sure about matingseason. But sounds like it is for yours. It is normal behavior and nothing to worry about.

I am curious about this too since I own a male and a female and would like them to breed. I have an incubator ready to go, just got to monitor them while together until they do the deed.
