mating????

So....the other day I was watching tv in my room. And I heard this weird noise coming from the tort enclosure. I walked over slowly and I saw the smaller egyptian practically on top of the other tort with its mouth wide open and making these weird sounds. It sounds to me like they want to mate!! I didn't see exposure of any parts, and as soon as they saw me I guess, they stopped and went about their day. What I also noticed is that both of them do that shell-hitting thing to each other every once in a while. And both try to get on top of each other. What the heck does this mean?! Lol. I don't think they are even of age yet!! Ahh! What do I do?! Lol

Could be a dominance thing.. And they can pester each other till one gets sick or stressed.
Be prepared to have two enclousure.. Even if it is just mating.. those males can pester pester pester...

You may be right. It's weird though because I was told that one was male and the other was a female. Maybe I have two males?

It could just as easily be a young male mounting a female, not necessarily two males.
