I'm just curious and may sound a little stupid, but I see all these beautiful red foots with deep red speckled legs and faces, yet my little Faven is more orangey and has been since I got her (I still think she's beautiful) she also has less speckles on her legs, just making sure it's normal and not a uv issue or anything :)ImageUploadedByTortForum1395692520.042925.jpg first day I got her ImageUploadedByTortForum1395692574.878264.jpg more recent ImageUploadedByTortForum1395692600.002639.jpg

Thank you :) and how do I trim the beak? Do I need to do it or does she do it on her own if I give her something?

Thank you :) I'll have to pick some up, I might also change her plastic food plate to a rock, I heard that helps as well?

She is beautiful just like she is. Her beak is no where needing trimming yet. Just feed on the flat rock, or tile and it should keep it trimmed just fine.

Thank you Wellington :) does it matter what kind of rock I use, by the way?

My little dobby is a redfoot with no red what so ever. She is all yellow and orange.

And we got her this rock so she can trim her nails and beak.

The "Yellow" are from COLOMBIA.. which until recently were not as common because Colombia had been closed for exportation for quite a few years.

Why he mentioned about the beak needing trimmed.. when this thread is NOT about that.. is anybody's guess - ignore it !

You want a piece of slate to feed on anyway to keep the substrate from getting on the greens, etc.

Thank you all :) and I'll get her a rock to feed on, I've been using a plastic lid type thing so she doesn't eat her substrate
