My new buddy :D

He woke up from his house around 10am this morning...the minute he got a wiff of the grass...there was no stopping him.

looks happy.. does he have full run of the yard? is everything tied down?! HA!

Yes he does! Honestly, he was actually very careful!! He would run into something then turn around and find a way around...a very polite sulcata hahah

I guess he's just "testing" things.

It's the being new to the family and wanting to make a good impression, so you'll fall for him so hard that no matter what you'll want to keep him stage. As soon as he knows your hooked, the real Bert will come out of his shell.:p:rolleyes::D

Bert is a small tortoise for his age. I believe he's about 40-50 lbs.

Thanks We're happy to have him.

I installed this late last night. $6 concrete tub.

I dug a hole and made it flushed with the dirt. It's currently on the side of his home.

I was told that he hasn't noticed it. So I called my mom and asked her to move it in the middle of the yard so he'll notice.

Sure enough, he walked right over and she said "He looks like he's drowning himself is that normal??!!!"
:D

I'm going to put it back in the spot I made for him because I don't want to leave it in the middle of the yard really.

Hopefully He'll stumble across it and remember.

Last night I had to place him in his home because He dug himself in the corner by a tree..once I placed him in there he stayed.

I'm assuming he's not used to the location yet.
