Ok I have read that you should not use mildew resistant caulk. I have seen a lot of post on aquarium websites that says it is toxic to fish and some plants and organisms. This makes sense in water especially. My question is does anyone have first hand experience or evidence that this is not safe in a closed chamber (no water). I'm wondering if everyone is just extrapolating this from aquarium use. It is very easy to leach chemicals into water but air is a different story. I am wondering if this stuff is safe after it has had ample time to cure? Any insight would be appreciated.

N0 :( But PVA (aquarium safe) is non-toxic in water and out. It is also very strong. You can buy it in buckets online.
