Hello every one. We I bought a baby Sulcata 2 year ago from a reptile show. I thought I had done my home work but I some what failed as I now know I did not provide the proper humidity. The habitat has been fixed. My question is. 1) Is it OK to keep the moss damp in one spot of her like I do my red foot. My big mistake was taking advice from people at pet shops. 2) now that I know what I was doing wrong with my Sulcata. Is there any thing I can do to help her shell get better.

It's great that you're working on taking better care of your Sulcata.
Sulcatas are not prone to shell rot and so it's good for the substrate to be damp (not soggy) to help keep moisture in the enclosure.
Any pyramiding that has developed is there to stay but if the proper changes have been made then new growth will begin to come in smoother.
We on the forum would be happy to look over pictures of your enclosures and torts to give advice..plus we all love the pictures;)
Here are few links that were very helpful for me when I was getting started if you have not already read them.

Hello and welcome.

I wouldn't use moss with a sulcata. They usually try to eat it.

Read those threads from BamBam and then come back with all your questions.

Can you please post pictures of your tortoise and her enclosure ? It is much more easier to see problems by some pictures and then give advices. We don`t ask to annoy you, but to help your tortoise.
