Mounting uvb to wall

So in building my new table I'm left with having to mount my uvb light to the side wall instead of above the tortoise due to ceiling height would this be a problem? It's or they are 18" tube uvb bulbs

Should be fine. It would be best to use a UV meter to set the height.

HO type bulbs need to be mounted higher up. Regular UV tubes need to be mounted pretty low.
