Very funny....the one in front looks like "wow what a pretty day, I will just lay here for awhile" and the one is back is like "seriously, move your shell already will ya!" :p

What a good picture. I don't just mean the subject matter, but the picture itself. Nice and clear, well-centered and very cute!

Haha that is a great picture!
And what a good idea to grow plants in those cement blocks. I have several similar blocks in my garage, just waiting to be used in Nelson's future outdoor enclosure :)

Hahaha, they look great! Both look like big grim rambos (especially the one behind). :p I love tortoise faces!

Yes, they were a freecycle fine. They kind of add a bit of security to their hide, but also help act as a heat sink, I hope.
The hide is a rubbermaid buried mostly in the ground with about 6-8" above ground, a few holes drilled in the bottom, and topsoil/peat/sand in it, with a very SMALL doorway (as you can see, lol). I made a frame around the above ground part, screwed it to the rubbermaid, and a removable top, and they really seem to like it: low roof but they can burrow. Seems pretty secure.
Yvonne; yes, they posed and waited for me!
Thanks, everyone!

Very funny picture. Really like your idea for a hide. Very inventive!
