heres a few of my little friend and his set up. Right now Im going for the sterile look while I track down the right stuff to add substrate, and a bigger enclosure real soon. Suffice to say hes eating and defecting well, getting a variety of food and is happy trundling about his tank. Is that coco coir of a soil consistency? does it come in compressed blocks? Ive never heard anything over here called coco coir

Nice tort! Were are you from? I bought coco coir at Ikea (Netherlands), is sold as a kind of potting soil based on cocos. They are compressed block with a light brown colour.

The compressed blocks go along way when they expand so you will not need many. Some recommend freezing them to kill any bugs eggs.
