Here are my CB Easter box turtle

You can't even imagine how difficult it is to find, here in Europe. that is very rare. Much more than any star or radiated tortoise (well, this is much more cheaper thought... at last!)

I bought them at a Reptile Expo, in Germany, to a German breeder.

They're just amazing, I love the colour they have, and how it changes as time goes by.

Cheers,

Sebastien / Pheonix

Hi Phoenix:

I know they're too young to tell yet, but I'm betting that you have a male and a female, just by the eyes and the color. They are very pretty Eastern box turtles. Thanks for sharing your pictures with us!

They look great :D I'm in a similar position, I'm in London and have recently taken on a pair of young Ornate Box turtles bred here in the UK. So I now have 3 Ornates, a real priviledge, look after them!

Ornate, carolina and bauri are very difficult to find.

I often see TC major and TC triunguis in fairs or reptile shops. But almost never see the others

Here where I live I see them all the time in the wild. Every now and then I'll go down to the Potomac River, (grassy/swamp/forest area next to the river) and release ones I find that need relocated. They literally are everywhere here. The strange thing is their color. The ones here aren't orange and black, but rather yellow and black like this one, http://www.birdwatchersdigest.com/blog/uploaded_images/YellowBoxTurtle-744919.JPG. The same color as an ornate but not the pattern of an ornate.
