I've really enjoyed building this indoor table for my baby Hermann ( he won't go into it until he is older) but I thought it might be a good step up from his baby tub. I put peat moss on the bottom to hold moisture and then the rest is organic black soil. I used a plastic egg layer for his hide with 7" of peat moss and soil mixed inside. I also have a mister in one of the corners and wonder if this is a good thing or not? We live in a dry climate and I thought maybe running it at night work to help with that.
Thanks!

Looks good, why wait to put him in? They love the space. The mister I would run in the day time, you don't want it to be cool and wet at night. Also the hide on the far end are you going to put up sides? Looks like he can get up and out. Looking good though, Lots of space for a young tortoise.
