Hi, and welcome to the Forum. It would help to know what part of the world you live in so that housing and care advice could be more specific to your needs. My sulcata is not an adult, but he lives outside year round. He has a heated shed for days that are too cold and for protection from predators at night.

Hello and welcome. There is a lot of sulcata info in my signature. Most of the info "out there" is outdated and wrong. Are you keeping your baby warm, humid and hydrated? They are NOT a desert species.

Hi breakingjtown, and welcome to the Forum!

There are lots of examples of housing larger tortoises in the "enclosures" section. I keep mine outside all the time. He has a shed that is heated in the winter, and he goes outside on his own. When he gets cold, he goes back into his shed.

Some people keep their larger tortoises in the basement during the winter, in larger habitats with heat and lights.
