My tortoise hates roses

Mine ate them right away.Wonder if different rose type petal makes a difference? Mine are a pink climbing rose.

We have six big blooming rose bushs. Our 4 CDTs all love them . . . especially the red ones, of course. Our youngest tort is even named Rosey. Yummm.
