My tortoise is not sleeping

All ,
My tortoise mario is not sleeping . I noticed that he has a little respiratory infection
Few days ago I did make new enclosure by adding more soil and adding grass to it
And i even noticed he is thirsty every day
I will even share some photos of mario
And he always go into a corner and try to escape but does not sleeps
After some time i filled the water he came and drank and did go to sleep
So do tell is the reason because he is thirsty.
