It cost me $76 and I had a friend build it. We altered these plans to make a 3x6: http://www.russiantortoise.org/tortoise_table.htm

Its great and the turtles are loving it. I plain 4x8 tarp inside to keep the wood safe.

I think that your water dish needs a little tweeking. Box turtles need a large water dish to soak in. You could get a big dish that goes under a large plant pot in home depot. If you want to keep it clean, you could put some flat stones around it and it would be easier for them to get in and out. They also need a lot of humidity.

Looks Great! quite similer to the one i have built :) though as terryo said a bigger water dish would be nice otherwise lookin good. Perhaps also fill the rest of the pen with soil or a nice flat stone for nail trimming etc :) utilze that space! haha

Thanks :) im going to have to get a mister soon, misting it the long way is almost painful lol. Why does the water dish need to be bigger? They seem to be pretty happy and they dont stay in it very long- they like to hide in the coco lol

Looks good needs more substrate. If you live in an area that has a brush recycling ( fancy for composting program) you can use it. Our landfill make wood humus from trees, shrubs and leaves brought to them. It is very close to forest soil. I agree with Terry the water dish is a little small. I use plastic painter's trays. Home depot carries one that is for 12 inch rollers and is orange if you want you can use silicone aquarium sealant smeared on the inside then press either sand or similar material into the silicone. Then let it dry. After it is dry rinse it out and the burry it most of the way which is for easy access.
