Mysterious mark just beneath shell

I am new to the forum and My what I believed to be Russian tortoise (was mislabeled at a pet store as Herman’s) has a strange chip on the shell with an off white marking underneath it and was wondering what to do about it?

There also seems to be a small crack in the shell at the left part of the mark

The white you see below the chip is the bone. This appears to be an old injury and is nothing to worry about.

One that I got had one too. I guess it's just wear and tear from being a wild tortoise.
