Hey thanks Will. That looks great. I hope you find it works out for the turtles.
There's only about 2" of mulch on top and the rest is dirt. I was just sitting here thinking mulch was a terrible idea though lol. It's too messy. I think I'm going to take the mulch out and do a layer of sand on top instead.Wouldn't it be better to have actual dirt in the nesting area? Something that will hold its shape as she's digging
That is just freakin awesome. I had water turtles at first but haven't had them for years here...Ended up with this lil guy about a month ago. Set him up temporarily, but I can't keep him. Your pond is awesome...Built a new land area for the turtle pond. Now if the turtles need to lay eggs they can get out and do so themselves.View attachment 287130View attachment 287131View attachment 287132View attachment 287133
Just fine, no problems with it so far. How about yours? How's that pond holding up?
They're only sliders. Most likely I would get rid of the eggs if I seen them nesting but missing a nest is probably inevitably going to happen.Love it! Please show babies if you get any. Are you going to leave them in their nests to hatch?
As well or better than I had hoped.Just fine, no problems with it so far. How about yours?
Happy Birthday, Toddrick!!! ✨✨✨Switched it a little.View attachment 287137
