My husband's friend gave us his 4 tortoises
Here are the 2 Sulcata:
They were on hay since they were hatchlings,he used coil lights, only fed store greens since had no backyard,no natural light, pyramiding present.
I can't fix whats already been done but hopefully can get them back on the right track.
Went to home depot and the hubby is making an outdoor enclosure for them!

Friend said this was a male, can someone confirm?

They look good, they are in good hands now. Glad your hubby is building them an outdoor pen. Nothing compares to the real outdoors especially with the warmer weather slowly approaching

They look good for indoor sulcata. The pyramiding to me doesn't look so bad.
I also like the color gradation.

My guess it that the first one is female. As the tail does not look very long, if I am seeing what I link is the tail. The second one to be male. However, I can't see the tail. I also am usually wrong, so don't hold me to it.:D they don't look bad too me either. The darker one will probably lighten up with some sunshine. Congrats.

They're gorgeous. The coloration is beautiful.

I think you may have your labels mixed. The top one looks female to me. I'm not sure about the bottom one. The gulars are still a little small, but it could be a young male.

How did your friend determine sex? Was he flashed?

Thanks for the replies everyone, I think he basically guessed the sexes I have no clue lol. They are hardy eaters had them in the sun grazing for a couple of
hours yesterday. Their enclosure will be 16x16 and were gonna attempt a
cement wading spot.
