While I was away at a two week camp, my dad saved this guy from the middle of the highway, while on the phone with me! He's really fast, and considered my little sisters turtle. I am very afraid of his rather large head. He is about as long as the diameter of a basketball, and I haven't ever touched him. He is very protective of himself, which is good. He loves worms and crickets, not a big fan of veggies. But is okay with tomatoes. He is very fast, which is why his name is Turbo. If anyone knows or has an idea about what kind he is, that would be awesome! Any questions? Just let me know!

That looks to be a Gulf Coast box turtle.

That's a large male gulf coast box turtle. The coloration looks to be from either the Florida panhandle or the mobile delta Bay Area in Alabama . Do you know what area it was found?
