A family friend gave me this turtle about 2 weeks ago and we have been trying to figure out what kind of turtle he is. He is a year old, and is as cute as a button. He likes eating crickets and worms and sometimes tomatoes and collards. He's very fast, and those little legs of his are very strong! Oh, and he LOVES to burrow!

It's a box turtle. If you tell us the state it's from we could narrow down the sub species

It's either an Eastern, Three toed or Gulf Coast box turtle. It's sometimes hard to tell with the little ones. My guess would be gulfie!

My guess would be eastern or gulfie as well. It's hard to tell from just the one pic. And he's so young yet.
