1 slightly deformed russian tortoise M (age unknown).
Question: My new russian buried himself very deeply in the side yard -
is this normal? We'd like to build an outdoor hibernarium for him -- is it OK for us to dig him out -- or sh.we leave him in his burrow?

If you just got the Russian, and you don't really knowmif it's healthy or not, as you did say he was deformed and he was new,you might not want to let him hibernate this year.
