The RARE and seldom ever seen : Blue-eyed.. yellow-feet spotted tortoise!
They are like the eastern box turtle in the variety of colors from parent to hatchling.
This yellow-footed female had a hatchling with pink feet and the other has blue feet!
AND then there is the Laid-back.. smoothskin green turtle -
.. only found in the brackish waters of Northern Kentucky!!!
( there are others in my personal collection also.. for anyone who would like to see them....... even more rare!!! )
Even more rare is the "Green Limbo-legs" tortoise! She [ shown here ]..
.. is smiling because the male - who has very short stubby legs - finally managed to get to her! It's a sight to behold -- he resembles a lumberjack climbing a tree [ try to imagine ] - and if she gets excited she takes off running and he's hanging on for dear life.. what a sight...
