New Table

I am in the process of building a new table for two new lepoard tortoises.
I have finshed putting the floor and sides together. I used plywood. Should I stain, paint, etc, the table? What would be safe for the torts?
Should I put something down over the plywood on the floor before adding the substrate?

You can either stain or paint it. Just make sure it cures/off-gasses long enough. I had spare black paint that was water resistant so I did that, and then used black vinyl liner under the substrate. Just take a look around on here for some great ideas!
