We are welcoming our new boy tomorrow! A 3 yr old male Greek ( Testudo Ibera) from Chris at GARDENSTATETORTOISE . Very excited! After our loss of Cleo, our 8 month old Ibera last week, we decided on an older tortoise. I've set up a new enclosure for the new guy. I used an old wardrobe we had. It's 4 ft by 6 ft long and almost 2 ft high. Lined it with pond liner, substrate is organic top soil and cypress mulch. 100wt MVP at one end, 100wt basking light in middle and a T10 strip light. Warm side is about 95 cool side is 75. Does it look like it needs anything else or any suggestions?ImageUploadedByTortoise Forum1427295396.604843.jpgImageUploadedByTortoise Forum1427295412.410652.jpgImageUploadedByTortoise Forum1427295423.830786.jpgImageUploadedByTortoise Forum1427295442.605646.jpg

Congrats, how exciting for you. Sorry for the loss of your other one:(. I would add some plants. I don't know, their requirements for heat or humdiity, but, your breeder, Chris, would be the perfect one to help you with that. I'm sure he will help you with any concerns you might have. I'm sure you won't forget to share pics:D

Looks good. You could add some plants. Spider plants work really well in enclosures for me. Is this covered? I don't know the humidity requirements for Greeks. Congrats on the new addition by the way.

Thank you! I was wondering about plants. I have a spider plant to put in there but is there any other I could add? Also going to cover the hides with more cypress mulch.

congrats. I did not sleep the night before I got mine from Chris. Chris is one who will communicate with you even after the sale. I send him updates and questions at least once a week. He responds quickly. cant wait to see pictures of your new baby boy :)

This will be my second tortoise from Chris. He's fantastic! Always answers my million questions and replies quick too! After my last tortoise was delivered she was a savage as soon as I opened up the box. Started eating right away and exploring her enclosure. Very healthy so I couldn't go wrong!
