so i recently took in my sister in laws sulcata cuz she could no longer provide care for her.

my question is can i let her out doors with my sulcata wen i take mine out for some sun?

i know its good to corintine new tortoise for 6 months before introducing to your own but she was the only tortoise she has had for 3 year and the tortoise had a check up less than a year ago because her shell was to soft due to no uvb light or sunlight. its alot better now but has some pyramiding. will post pictures when i get off work.

depends on size of animals, size of pen, and temperament...
two that have not been raised together.. usually do not do well with others....

It has been sort-of quarantined at this point, although it still could have picked stuff up from its outdoor environment even if it had no exposure to other tortoises. Deer, rabbits, rodents, birds, and other native fauna can still deliver "presents". If you have the space, you can try introduction, but be careful. Do not separate at first minor scuffle. They may work it out. If you have two females, then your chances might be better.

I share the opinion that if it has been living isolated from any other tortoises for three years and vet checked, your risk of disease is minimal. Only one way to find out if they are behaviorally compatible. Pairs are often problematic and tortoises usually choose to live a solitary existence in the wild. Groups usually do better than pair too. Just something to keep in mind for the future.

Her she is. unfortunatly this girl has never been outside n is so shy i can't look at her with out her hiding i gave her a nice warm 30 minute soak today n never came out of her shell she didn't poop or urate. she is about 3 years old and weighs 439 grams. i will continue to soak her every day for a week to make sure she well hydrated.

Wow. I hope she starts doing better for you. That is pretty small for a three year old.
