A few weeks ago, a pregnant friend of mine asked me if I would like to take her red eared slider. I thought about it, for like maybe two seconds because well I can't say no to turtles. So we got him (and a little convict cichlid I named Elvis) and she gave us a smallish dish tank, that was definitely to small. Well the convict went in with my jack dempsey after he was quarantined and we moved the slider, who was named Puck, into a big 50 gallon breeder we had.
And because I hate to see an empty aquarium, we got some baby oscars, dante, chum and fugi.
They're supposed to be the fantail oscars, but really it just looks like the two black tigers are. We'll see how they turn out, but right now they're just super cute. We already have a monster oscar, ernest, in the big tank. I look forward to watching them grow to that size all over again.
