Hi :)
I'm from Aruba, it's in the carribean and the climate is very warm here :)
I got a red footed tortoise , about 4/5 inches long
I got her prolly a month ago and it's my first tortoise so i've been researching allot for a site/app like this!

I've been wanting to ask what's the best food i can give my tortoise ?
And also is rice good for them?

Welcome to the Forum!

Redfoots are mainly vegitarian with occational animal protien in their diet.... I'm not sure about Rice, but I would say "NO" to rice! (heavy starches might not be good for him, but I'm not 100% sure about that)

Rice: While the actual rice plant may be OK (I have never seen nutritional data on it), rice itself is not. Tortoises and other reptiles, and, in fact, many mammals, are not designed to process grains unless they have been processed first to unlock the nutrients and remove the toxins.

BEST food?: We recommend a varied, balanced diet consisting mostly of things like greens, edible plant leaves, stalks, flowers, fungi/mushrooms, etc., then some fruit and veggies with seeds, and finally a little meat- mostly in the form of live bugs, worms, snails, and slugs but other options are OK too.

The Library, linked below, has a lot of ideas and links that may be useful.
