Normal or not?

Hello all, here lately when I let Rhino go outside,he goes straight to his burrow I made him and doesn't come out. It's like in the 70-80's here. Should I be worried about this or is it normal? Again he is a Sulcata and he is 8 months old. Has anyone else experienced this?

I don't have a sulcata but my russian does that sometimes on her walks. I was told they are trying to hide from potential predators, doesn't mesn there are any, he or she just may be nervous.

Does he have a variety of places to retreat to besides the one hide ? Plants to hide in/under?

Oh yes, he has many places. He just chooses his hide. Yesterday, I put him out arround 9:00 am. He went straight for the hide. He went in and didn't come back out until we went and got him at sundown.
