Hi, and welcome to the Forum!!

May I suggest you change waterers? Those like what you have are for lizards and snakes. Baby tortoises sometimes overbalance when trying to climb up over the straight sides and fall over backwards/upside down in the water. Try a clay flower pot saucer instead...or if you don't like the clay, try a plastic one that looks like clay. They have a sloped side and are easier for babies to climb out of. Then, sink it down into the substrate so that he doesn't have to climb to get in.

That's a pretty cute baby and I'm happy to see that you have it humid in there for him.

Upon second look at your picture, I'm thinking that what I perceived as the waterer is really the food dish. Sorry about that. I think the plastic you're using for the waterer is just fine!

Thanks for the advice. He seems to like that particular one a lot though and has never had a problem getting in and out. I have had him/her for about 2 months now. Yes that is a food dish. I might want to get something a little more shallow that he will not overbalance but then again i do need something that prevents the meal worms from crawling out.

Norman is a lucky lil guy! Do you have a "hide" for him? Something like flower pot on its side that that he can go for and.. hide in?

Yes I do. I have a picture of the whole enclosure.
