So im a new tortoise owner and absolutely clueless and in need of some help!
So ive unexpectedly became a mum again to two russian tortoises... unfortunately the owner didnt want them no more as they were an unwanted gift, so me being me took them on as I knew they would be safer with me than the buyers lined up! (I know these people from my area)
Both male and female about the size of my palm and unsure whos the boy and girl, and what age they are?
They have been living in a lizard tank with rabbit pellets and the temp is around 30° inside with a heat lamp on 5 min timer (i think). To my knowledge these are solitary aren't they? And im pretty sure that the pellets are a no go? I may be wrong though. Ive gave them cucumber and lettuce with a sprinkle of calci dust until I go get some dandelions etc for them, they scoffed it down lol! They both seem quiet although I have seen them walking around already... I just want to give these little cuties the best they can have and right now im unsure that the enviroment they live in is? Any advice is welcome!!
