So im a new tortoise owner and absolutely clueless and in need of some help!
So ive unexpectedly became a mum again to two russian tortoises... unfortunately the owner didnt want them no more as they were an unwanted gift, so me being me took them on as I knew they would be safer with me than the buyers lined up! (I know these people from my area)
Both male and female about the size of my palm and unsure whos the boy and girl?
They have a lizard tank to live in with rabbit pellets

Greetings.

Steep learning curve I’m sure...

Here’s a good care guide to get you started. https://www.tortoiseforum.org/threads/russian-tortoise-care-sheet.80698/

Try to upload a pix of the enclosure. I can pretty much guess it is far too small for one Russian, let alone two. Two Russians shouldnt be kept together, they will fight & the strongercwill bully thecweaker one.

Rabbit pellets aren't a good substrate cause it eaily molds & mildews - especially when you moisten things down to keep your torts hydrated.

So. Good you saved them, but lots of work ahead. Pix of the enclosure & your torts will help.

good luck
