Iv noticed on some of the enclosure pictures that there is obstacles placed in the tortoise boxes, i just wondered if people have had problems with the tortoises trying to climb but falling onto there shells?

I am just wary of this now as we had a tunnel for our old tortoise that it used to climb on, but it fell onto its back when we was not home and died. Obviously horrible mistake to learn from

It makes it a more interesting place for the tortoise to live, blocks his line of sight. You just have to try to use things he can't easily climb up on.

You can also put in a partial wall. If your enclosure has one side the looks like a "C" but squared; then add a partial wall that your tort must go around; it would then look like an "E" but with the middle wall not reaching the far wall of the enclosure.

Adding a 2nd story add interest for your tort also. It gives an exercise ramp plus a hide under the ramp. I put side and a partial roof on my ramps because Russians will climb everything!
